Of course, as soon as I make a wild and outrageous statement (namely that St. Mary's should definitely be a 2 seed), they go off and lose, to Southern Illinois no less. It was the Gaels first road game, and definitely makes them suspect. Except for Texas and Gonzaga, the Gaels will need to win the remainder of their games to have a realistic shot at the tournament.

Don't feel bad Bryce.. I don't think many people expected that upset to occur.. Also, Boston College getting beat at home by UMass will raise a few eyebrows I would think.. do you feel this will drop them out of the bracket; and does UMass now have a decent resume with nice road wins vs. Syracuse and now BC? I'd also like to hear your view on Fla. State.. do you feel they need to win their remaining OOC games vs Butler, LaSalle, Providence, and College of Charleston to feel pretty safe going into conference play?? I think they definitely need the win at Butler this Saturday to at least "make up" for the 2 early season losses to Cleveland State and South Fla.
